Similar to apples, banana is one of fruit that is susceptible to browning or change color to brown. This process is caused by the simple oxidation process. when Bananas exposed to outside air, oxygen oxidative enzyme will react and cause color changes bananas to be brown. This reaction can not be avoided, but you can use a number of ways to slow down the oxidation process.

Before peeled

Better not put bananas in the refrigerator, as it will only accelerate the process of Browning. Immediately remove the bananas from plastic wrapper, place it in the container. You can also cover it with a cloth so as not exposed to direct sunlight.

After peeled

Once you peel the banana, the fruit will start the process to turn brown. Although changes can only be seen after a few moments later. One way to prevent the appearance of brown color on bananas is to apply lime or lemon extract on the banana. You can also use a mixture of water with a little vinegar to replace the orange extract. Dip the bananas in a vinegar solution in less time.

Another way

If you can not find lemon or vinegar, you can use the vitamin C tablets. Mash until smooth, dissolved in a little water, dip a banana in the solution for a few seconds, or spread a thin layer on the surface of a banana.
